Joy James Teacher of the Month for March 2010
 Ana Maria Tocasuchyl
My name is ana Maria Tocasuchyl and I teach 4th grade Bilingual at Joy James Elementary. I am originally from Bogota, Colombia and moved to the United States in 2001. Being Hispanic has not only influenced my life tremendously but has given me a great amount of drive to reach my goals. As a child my dream was to move to America and make a life in this amazing country. Deciding to move has been the hardest yet most rewarding choice in my life. Graduating from college and working for an insurance company brought me to the realization that my calling was working with people and most importantly children. Following this dream to become a teacher opened the door to move to Texas. Soon after receiving my teaching certification another door opened at Castleberry ISD. Working at this district has shown me how blessed I am to be a part of a wonderful community of parents and teachers. Joy James Elementary has not only made me realize how fulfilling it is to choose a career that one is passionate about, but has also given me the opportunity to meet wonderful people that are now a part of my life.
