JJE Teacher of the Year

Congratulations to Mr. John Bribiesca for being named the 2021-2022 Joy James Elementary Teacher of the Year! Mr. Bribiesca is in his 6th year of teaching, and has been with Joy James Elementary for all of them. Known as “Mr. B”, he is a bilingual 5th grade teacher who is always going the extra mile for his students, as well as his fellow teachers and coworkers!

It’s official!! Joy James Elementary is being recognized as an Academy of Leadership beginning in 2022-2023! We are a Stephen Covey, Leader in Me School which is one of a select group of only 4,000 other schools throughout the world. Connecting to an internationally renowned leadership organization gives our teachers and students exposure to something much bigger than most elementaries–we are part of an elite organization.

Red Ribbon Week Oct 25-29, 2021

Red Ribbon Week is an annual event that aims to raise awareness about the dangers of using drugs. 

JJE Students Spark a New Year of Board Recognitions

Joy James Elementary is Castleberry ISD’s Board of Education spotlight campus for the month of October. Instead of the traditional format of the campus principal presenting student and staff recognitions, administration empowered its student leaders to make the presentation.
