JJE Students at STREAM night
STREAM Showcase Night

Joy James Elementary held it's very first STREAM (Science, Technology, Reading, Engineering, Art, and Math) Showcase Night! Our STREAM Para-educators were the main presenters of the night and they did a wonderful job showing parents what their students learn in each STREAM class. At Joy James, students have a choice of courses offered each nine weeks that allow for research and creativity. STREAM courses include Coding, Engineering, Theater, Cooking, Game Masters, Lion Tamers (athletics), and many more. Each course offers leadership building opportunities where students explore their curiosity and create products.

During the STREAM Showcase Night, stations were set up for parents to enjoy the activities their children experience on a daily basis. Joy James is fortunate to have Mr. Alan Small leading these efforts and assisting with resources so our students have great experiences that help them learn to apply their academics in fun, real life situations. To end the evening, everyone was invited to enjoy a hot cup of cocoa and holiday reading in the library.
