Measurement (1)
We have been measuring this week in Mrs. B.'s room using non-standard form, meaning we are not using a ruler.  We are using paperclips, post-it notes, pieces of notebook paper and other items we find around the room.  It might be fun to try this at home.  Find something for your child to measure.  Find something around the house to use for measuring.  Once he or she has measured the item using different things, have him or her use a ruler.
